CSD’s membership in international associations and organizations:

Establishing and development of the effective international relations is one of the priority directions of CSD activity.

Currently the Central Depository is a member of the following international associations and organizations:

  1. Co-founder and full member of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD);
  2. Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA);
  3. European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA);
  4. Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (S.W.I.F.T.).

CSD actively participates in working groups, conferences, annual meetings and other events arranged by the abovementioned associations.

All international associations, in which CSD has membership, support policy of business transparency and access to information on services, rendered by CSDs to their customers, and peculiarities of  local securities markets functioning, to foreign investors. CSD participates in all projects initiated by associations aimed at collection, analysis, comparison and summarizing of information on national capital markets.

CSD concluded the following international agreements:

Memorandum of Understanding - signed by the State Agency of Ukraine for Investments and Innovations, National Depository of Ukraine (NDU), the Vienna Stock Exchange, Central Counterparty Austria (CCP.A) and the Austrian CSD (OeKB). The MoU envisages information exchange, arrangement of regular meetings, joint research, implementation of joint projects and establishing of inter-depository links. 

Memorandum of Cooperation - signed between the National Depository of Ukraine and the National Depository Center of Azerbaijan. Main points of the Memorandum cover issues devoted to information exchange on the procedure of clearing, settlement and accounting systems functioning in the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine; preparation and establishing links between the depositories to ensure settlement of cross-border transactions among Azerbaijan and Ukrainian stock markets participants; formation of working groups upon depositories’ joint projects implementation; studying of accounting systems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine etc.

Memorandum of Cooperation - signed between the National Depository of Ukraine and the Latvian Central Depository. Main points of the Memorandum cover issues regarding preparation and establishment of correspondent links between the depositories, conducting trainings and mutual exchange of experience between specialists of the depositories, advisory services on issues related to data storage and processing systems, consulting Ukrainian and Latvian stock market participants on issues related to record-keeping systems of the countries etc.
